Excerpt from the Book
Chapter 1: New Shadows in Luna Vista
The sun was lowering itself over Luna Vista, painting the sky in soft streaks of orange and gold. Shadows stretched long across the sidewalks as people hurried through the streets with that end-of-the-day rush. Shopkeepers turned keys in their locks. Kids laughed as they darted between buildings. A delivery bike wove in and out of traffic, its buzz making heads turn.
Noise filled the city. Always noise.
For Minjae, every sound mattered. Not because he wanted it to, but because his mind never let it fade into the background. When voices grew too close or laughter rang too loud, his chest tightened. When footsteps followed behind him, his shoulders stiffened. Crowds pressed in on him even when they didn't mean to.
